The News

Happy August, fellow cosmic monstrosities! I’m thrilled to tell you about a new development on my Sooted Star project.

Well, before that, I almost forgot to mention that I archived my 300 page draft of my Sooted Star novel because of a crisis. The short story: I didn’t believe in this story any longer. It was rough, but it had to be done. And so, I’ve reoriented myself and started a new draft of the novel. I’ve been changing world and character concepts, too, both written and visual.

While it’s far from a completed project, I discovered a nifty little site called World Anvil. It’s a bit like a wiki but for world-building projects; think in-depth information on TTRPG campaigns, video games, novels, etc. I plan to post factoids about the world of Sooted Star (without spoilers), accompanied by concept art. There will be a few early novel chapters from the latest rework, but the rest won’t be a posting priority just yet. Ultimately, think of it as a growing, evolving portfolio specifically for Sooted Star-related works.

That being said, it won’t have everything. A majority of my drawing WIPs, early access content, and thought processes will still be exclusive to my Patreon and Ko-fi pages.

The Last Sooted Star Cover Before the Rework

I feel a bit of grief over this one. It was the last piece I finished before I put my last Sooted Star novel draft to rest and my drawing iPad died permanently. (I got a new one, don’t worry). I still think it’s good enough to post, here, even if it will never find a place in Sooted Star ever again.

These next ones are more recent. The two watercolors on the left are commissions. The digital ones on the right are my beloved creepy OC, Zeijien.

Lastly

Speaking of commissions, I have finally gotten my new commission page on VGen up and running. It’s a well-known site among internet artists who take commissions. There’s a vetting process in order to to sell on there, and I’m honored to have earned a spot among many great artists.

While I can sell commissions there now, I am not quite able to go fully public. That requires getting verified. If you want to help me get verified, please commission me and leave a review, or follow me on VGen!
